Thank you for this website. I didn’t know a site like this existed. I attend an IFB church. Not as extreme as Hyles’s brand of fundamentalism. But I still have some disagreements with my church. What do you think of David Cloud of way of life literature? I’m hoping you will do a show on IFB landmarkism. My pastor believes that Baptist are not Protestants. He rejects the universal invincible church, he’s local church only. Many IFB churches like mine would say that they are not Baptist Briders but they still hold to some of the tenets of landmarkism. I hope you will reply soon. Keep up the good work. JMN451
Thanks JMN451. I’ve read some of David Cloud’s website and I’m not very impressed with it. There is a lot of information there, but I’ve found a lot of it to be narrow minded and poor arguments. Most of the subject matter for his articles are Fundamentalist hobby horses.
I wrote an article that covers some of the Landmarker beliefs here and we covered Landmarkism a little bit in our previous podcast The Fundamental Problem I would like to do a Podcast on Landmarkism because it is a growing problem these days, and is being perpetuated by the Baptist History movement. Thanks again for the encouragement. John Hardin
